Just like the flagship iPhone 15 Pro Max, these alternatives stand out from the crowd with their unique set of features and capabilities.
Apple
is reported to be facing issues in sourcing components such as the zoom lens from Sony for the iPhone 15 Pro Max causing delays in high-volume
manufacturing of the device along with onset demand for Apple’s large-screen premium smartphone has led to this delay.
According to Apple India’s official website, if you pre-order an iPhone 15
Pro Max today, it will be delivered between November 3 and 9, despite the
phone’s official launch date of September 22. Can’t wait for so long? Here are
some of the best iPhones 15 Pro Max alternatives to consider right now.
If there is one smartphone that comes close to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, it is the iPhone 15 Pro. Barring a few things like a smaller 6.1-inch
display and a 3x telephoto lens, the iPhone 15 Pro is as luxurious as the
bigger Pro Max, featuring the same titanium chassis, USB-C charging port with
faster data transfer support, 3D spatial video recording capability (coming
later this year), powered by the A17 Pro SoC with support for hardware ray
tracing and capable of running AAA titles.
In fact, the iPhone 15
Pro is a lot cheaper than the iPhone 15 Pro Max in India, where the base 128
GB variant is priced at Rs 1,34,900. However, even with the iPhone 15 Pro,
there is a bit of a waiting period.
The Samsung Galaxy
S23 Ultra (review) is an Android counterpart of the iPhone 15 Pro
Max. This flagship smartphone from Samsung offers a premium design and is
powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal
storage. The device offers all the high-end features that one expects from a
phone of this class, which includes an IP68 rating, wireless charging, and a
120Hz 2K resolution curved OLED screen.
Unlike
the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is readily available
in both offline and online stores with no waiting period. On top of that, the
Galaxy S23 Ultra also offers technologies like 10x optical zoom, an integrated
S-Pen, and it also supports up to 8K resolution video recording.
Despite being a
year-old device, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max (review) is still one of the
best premium smartphones in the market. It looks similar to the iPhone 15 Pro
Max with an identical triple camera island, a large 6.7-inch ProMotion display
with 120Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a premium design with a stainless-steel frame and IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The
iPhone 14 Pro Max is more than Rs 30,000 cheaper than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The two major differences between the two are the lightning charging port and
the build quality.
Samsung’s cutting-edge foldable —Galaxy ZFold5 (review) does
cost a few thousand more than the iPhone 15 Pro Max and it justifies the higher
price tag with a foldable primary display along with a premium design, which is
also one of the few foldables with IPX8 water resistance rating. Powered by the
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC it is clearly one of the most powerful Android phones of this year that has everything, and a
bit more than one seeks from a premium smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy ZFold 5 is clearly meant for those, who seek
a high-end smartphone with the best possible smartphone technology and is
definitely the right alternative to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 15 Plus, despite being 40 per cent cheaper than the
iPhone 15 Pro Max still offers a large 6.7-inch screen with Dynamic Island.
However, it does miss out on Promotion technology and the screen refresh rate
is limited to 60Hz. It still has a 48 MP primary camera that supports 4K HDR
video recording along with 2x optical in-sensor zoom support.
The iPhone 15 Plus also has a USB-C port, albeit, the transfer
speeds are limited to USB 2.0. The iPhone 15 Plus, powered by the A16 Bionic is
as powerful as the previous generation iPhone 14 Pro Max.
