Actress Pratyusha Banerjee of Balika Vadhu fame commits suicide

MUMBAI: Television on-screen character Pratyusha Banerjee, who shot to distinction for her part as Anandi in 'Balika Vadhu', submitted suicide by hanging herself from the roof fan at her Goregaon living arrangement on Friday. She was 24.

Her life partner, on-screen character maker Rahul Raj, discovered her sticking around 5pm and educated her uncle. She was hurried to the Kokilaben Ambani Hospi tal in Andheri where specialists professed her dead and educated police. As per media reports distributed in December 2015, Pratyusha was to get married with Raj. Their relationship was supposedly unpredictable. 

Her WhatsApp status on Friday read: "Marr ke bhi muh na tujhse modna." Raj did not answer any telephone calls from mediapersons on Friday. "Pratyusha had rung a companion on Friday to get some information about Rahul's ex. She suspected Rahul was undermining her. Pratyusha was discouraged as she wasn't finding any work and money was becoming scarce," a companion said.

Television performing artist Dolly Bindra told TOI: "I addressed her mom who is in Jamshedpur. She will first travel to Kolkata and achieve Mumbai by Saturday." Pratyusha's ex Makrand Malhotra, who was at the doctor's facility, is accepted to be organizing air tickets for her crew.

In 2013, Pratyusha had documented a police grievance against Malhotra, blaming him for verbal misuse and demise dangers on telephone and in individual.

Sidharth Sengupta, who guided her in 'Balika Vadhu', said, "I'm speechless. In spite of the fact that she quit the serial a few years back, she used to call me and the group for her birthday each August."

In the mean time, this January, Pratyusha had held up a FIR with Kandivli police against eight men, including a few cops, for purportedly jumping into her home at Kandivli and acting mischievously with her.
